Vol. 24
  - with dj pgz -
This is the Athletica Newsletter - a bi-weekly mail out curated by a new artist each volume, with a Spotify playlist, a BuyMusicClub list to buy those tracks on Bandcamp, and a section for curators to write whatever they want!
A Bla(c)k lives matter resource list is also located up top.

This volume is curated by dj pgz
Paul Gorrie, aka dj pgz is a Gunai/Kurnai & Yorta man based on Wurundjeri Country of the Kulin Nations. He’s worn many hats, from drumming for DRMNGNOW and Kee’ahn, programming at Rise Festival, working as an emerging filmmaker to direct a doco called Young Mob Questioning Treaty, and throwing his party, Bad Kind Of Good, as one half of BLK DUO, spotlighting Black DJs and experimental performers and artists in Naarm.

Between all of that, he’s cultivated an extensive knowledge and collection of music. Starting out as a DJ in order to have an excuse to collect records, his taste spans hip hop, funk, indie, club, and beyond. Recently his sets have been leaning clubby/techno – blending UNIIQU3, Martyn Bootyspoon, LSDXOXO, Leonce, and more.

Whatever the genre, when dj pgz is on a line up you know it’s going to be hot.

Almost all of the above tracks are available to cop on Bandcamp, but scroll down to the bottom of the list for pgz's Bandcamp exclusive picks. Special mention to Shyboi's Rave Down Babylon, which will melt any soundsystem/crowd you unleash it on.

Words from dj pgz

I’ve been busy working on next Bad Kind of Good party BLK ICE which is super exciting. Here is the poster, we got some heavy hitters on this one.

Anyway, with heaps going on it’s not hard to think about what is going on with Palestine. This is something that is very topical but it needs to be more than that. It's urgent shit. Let's do something about it. Here are some spots to support, here, #FreePalestine
